It’s Netflix Jim, but not as we know it..
Set phasers to scroll.. endlessly scroll, as you explore the Netflix universe for every Borg episode.
Just me? Well alrighty then.
That was my weekend and resistance was futile. Not that I have any regrets over doing next-to-naff-all for two solid days but watch episode after episode.. when I should have been writing this.
Oh well, who cares, the entire Star Trek TV catalogue is on Netflix! Woohoo!
Just by pure coincidence I’m sure, heh, and totally not in any way a PR move designed to remind fans that Star Trek Beyond is released at the end of the month, every episode of every series is now available for your viewing pleasure.
Here’s what you can viddy right now if you choose to:
- The Original Series
- The Animated Series
- The Next Generation
- Deep Space Nine
Notice the inclusion of The Animated Series?
Don’t turn your nose up at this, however tempting it might be to skip over; despite its jerky animation it had the involvement of Gene Roddenberry, was written by the same folks as The Original Series, and features many of the same cast doing the voice overs.
And although it was officially de-canonized by the end of series one of The Next Generation, there are multiple references to events that happened in The Animated Series; namely in episodes of DS9 and Enterprise.
Make no mistake this is 100% Star Trek, just done with cheap animation. But that’s no biggie, right?
So with all this Trekkie goodness spanning across six individual series, that’s a total of 726 episodes and a lot of space travelling to do right there. And the occasional time-jump too. Coolio.
